Bell tower museum

The St. Michael’s Church tower accommodates 75 bells and two carillons, spread over 12 floors.

The renovated museum, surprisingly and without equal, lets you through convenient access floors meet a long bells’ culture. You can even play a tune on the carillon and ring a bell. The (un)quietly tapping soon attracts your attention and makes you look forward to the next step. From the walk, you have a beautiful view of the Kemmelberg, IJzertoren and Kluisberg. Gradually you hear the technique of the interplay of the 49 bells .

It is remarkable that with religious holidays and special occasions, four bells are manually sound.

Here, you’ll find some more information about the bell tower.
